This week in Music, Year 1 explored rhythm, movement and musical notation through a fun and engaging practical session. Year One listened carefully to the beat of the music and used colourful scarves to move expressively in time with the tempo and dynamics of the piece. They then used egg shakers to tap and shake along to the rhythm, following simple music notes to develop their understanding of pulse and timing. The children demonstrated excellent listening skills, coordination, and creativity as they responded to the music and worked together to keep in time.
