Year 4 had an exciting science workshop led by visitors from the Crick Institute! We started by learning how vibrations make sound and even felt the vibrations coming from our own voice boxes. Next, we carried out a whole-class experiment to find out whether it’s easier to hear with one ear or two, everyone had great fun testing their listening skills! Finally, we explored how sound travels by listening to the vibrations of a metal hanger hitting a chair and discovered how different factors can change the sound we hear. It was a fantastic, hands-on morning of science and sound!
