We took our learning in science that next step in science this week, testing the hypothesis, ‘Does the greater the surface area create greater the air resistance?’ We made parachutes of different sizes and learnt about why it was important to use controlled variables to ensure a fair test. We then tested our hypothesis by dropping them from a height and timing the decent to the floor below. We then recorded our results.
