This week we had our very first Religious Education lesson, where we began exploring the big question: “Who made our wonderful world?” We thought carefully about what is precious in our own lives and took turns to share the special people who are important to us. By listening to each other, we showed respect for different ideas and experiences.
We then used a range of natural materials to create our own representations of our “most precious people.” This gave us the chance to be creative, use our imagination, and develop our fine motor skills, while also making meaningful links between the natural world and the people we love. Our lesson helped us to develop a sense of awe and wonder, to value each other’s uniqueness, and to start thinking about big questions that different faiths and worldviews might answer in different ways.
