What a lovely second week we have had in Reception! The children continue to impress us with their enthusiasm, curiosity, and growing confidence. It has been a real joy to see them becoming more familiar with our routines and enjoying every part of their day.

This week, we have been learning to follow instructions carefully — and what better way to practise than by baking! The children made blueberry muffins from scratch, measuring out the ingredients and mixing them together. The classroom smelt amazing, and the children were so proud of their delicious creations.

We have also continued practising writing our names and developing our fine motor skills through a range of mark-making activities. It is wonderful to see the pride they are already taking in their learning.

Outside, the children have been making the most of our outdoor area — building, climbing, role-playing, and exploring the world around them. Their creativity and teamwork have really shone through.

Most importantly, we have been focusing on kindness, friendship, and working together. The children are already showing what fantastic role models they are, and we could not be prouder of the way they are looking after each other and settling into school life.

Here is to another exciting week ahead!
