Instead of our usual cooking session this week, we surprised the children by setting up an Ice Cream Parlour in the playground — and it was a huge hit! Each child was given a little pot of pretend money, which they used to ‘purchase’ an ice cream from our very own vendor, Dita. While there was only one flavour on offer, there were plenty of delicious toppings to choose from, including sprinkles, chocolate sauce and more!
The children were, of course, delighted with their ice creams — but what really stood out was their fantastic patience and understanding. Everyone waited so sensibly in the queue, took turns beautifully, and used lovely manners throughout. It was a lovely way to end the week, and a joyful reminder of how much the children have grown in their independence and social skills.
What a wonderful Friday treat!
