Ten Year 4 children were selected to attend an exciting Jobs Fair at the British Library after showing enthusiasm and creativity in class projects focused on nature. During the event, they took part in a range of hands-on activities exploring the natural world, including planting seeds, learning about ecosystems, and creating nature-inspired art. The highlight of the day was meeting a high-tech robotic dog designed to assist in environmental research. The children were fascinated by its lifelike movements and how it could navigate different terrains. The trip was both educational and inspiring, giving them a glimpse into future careers in science and technology.

Year 4 recently took part in an exciting Poetry Slam, performing poems written by the brilliant poet Neal Zetter. After spending time learning and rehearsing his fun, rhythmic poems, the children took to the stage with confidence and enthusiasm. Each class brought energy and creativity to their performances, impressing the audience with their expressive voices and teamwork. The event was made even more special when Neal Zetter himself came in to watch and judge the competition. He gave wonderful feedback and praised the children’s efforts. It was a fantastic celebration of poetry, performance, and growing confidence in public speaking.
