This week, we were so happy to welcome back our lovely Year 2 children after a well-earned two-week Easter break. It’s been wonderful catching up with everyone and seeing how quickly they’ve settled back into their school routines.

We’ve been really impressed with how much the children have remembered from last term – their learning has truly stuck! Many of them proudly told us about the books they enjoyed over the holidays and it’s fantastic to see such a love of reading continue outside the classroom.

We’ve hit the ground running this term, diving straight into our new units of learning: fractions in maths and materials in science. We also had a lovely Easter service at St Mary’s Church, which was a great way to mark the season together.

Another highlight this week was the start of our Friday morning PE lessons with Coach Denys. The children’s enthusiasm and energy have been an absolute delight – what a brilliant way to end the week!
