Welcome to Year 4!
We’re excited for a fantastic term of learning.
In maths, we’ll be focusing on place value, building a strong foundation with numbers and the number system. We will also be starting our work on Multiplication Tables to get ourselves ready for the MTCs later on in the year.
Our Science unit of learning is Classifying Living Things, and we’ll enjoy a special workshop run by the Crick Institute.
In English, we’ll be reading Wolves by Emily Gravett and using it to inspire persuasive writing, stories with alternative endings and non-chronological reports
In History, we will travel back to the Victorian era to explore what life was like in London during that time, exploring how our local area has changed since then.
In RE, we’ll be looking at how belief in God influenced people in the Old Testament. It’s going to be a brilliant start to the year!
