Message from the Head Teacher

A very warm welcome to St Mary and St Pancras CE School.

We are a fully inclusive, dynamic and forward- thinking Church of England school, serving the diverse community of  Somers Town.  We believe that every child matters to God. Our distinct Christian values and ethos inform everything that we do and we work closely with St Mary’s Church and St Pancras New Church to ensure that our children’s spiritual development takes centre stage, whatever their home faith.

Pastoral care for children and families is second to non. We have a talented and committed stable staff whom, without exception, go the extra mile every single day to ensure that the school is a happy and exciting place for children to learn and grow. Our children love coming to school-  attendance is consistently above the Camden average and our children achieve very well at every stage of their education with us.

What makes us special? Our curriculum, based on the National Curriculum, is enriched to suit the specific needs of our children. We teach Philosophy for Children from Nursery to Year 6 and hold a Silver Award for our work. Music tuition is exemplary and we have recently been awarded Music Mark. We hold Healthy Schools Bronze status too and are a Silver STARS school. Most importantly though-we have the highest of expectations for our children and our families know this and work with us to achieve the very best for their children.

If you want to see learning in action, go to the class pages which allow you to peek into our classrooms, as well as read the newsletters which do the same.

We made carefully considered plans for how the school will run in the current circumstances,  following all Government guidance. The Risk Assessment and Visitor Protocol are published here for you all.

Admissions to Reception: We have places available in our Reception and Nursery class.   If you would like your child to attend our Reception or Nursery class, then please contact the school on and we will guide you through the process.
