In year five, we understand that there are many benefits of physical education in schools. When we are active learners in our physical education lessons, we know that we can increase our level of physical fitness, improve our school work and learn how to set goals and achieve them which will only benefit us in the classroom. Increased time spent in physical education will always affect our academic achievement in a positive way.
This week in P.E., we have been learning how to improve our throwing techniques. We know that throwing is fundamental to a multitude of sports and activities. If we learn how throw a ball with force and accuracy, then we know that we will be able to participate in an abundance of sports such as dodgeball, cricket and/or leisure activities like Frisbee or bowls.
Today, you can see our class practicing our passing and movement skills to help us prepare our teams for a dodgeball tournament. Not only were we striving to become better athletes, as you can see, we had a great time doing it as well.
