Our focus story this week was “ The Little Red Hen”. We discussed the setting of the story and which animals live in a farm. The children were able to act out the story by using animal masks and repeating the rhyme. We’ve read a couple of different variations of the story so children could make a decision on what makes a good friend and why is it important to help others. At the end of the week we baked bread and made butter from scratch and everybody helped in the task.

In Maths we practiced number sequencing by making a number line to 10. The children had to recognise their number they were holding and place it in the right place. When we finished making the number line, we played missing number. The children closed their eyes and as the number was moved away from the line, they had to find the missing number.
