Year Five begin their rehearsals of Macbeth

This week, year five have been rehearsing their lines and practicing their movements for act two in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. They have done a remarkable job collaborating for this piece that depicts Lady Macbeth as an ambitious future queen and Macbeth as the Scottish general who is willing to do anything to ascend to the throne. Through various forms of art, the children have learned how to express a main character’s moral dilemmas and have shown the ability to incorporate their ideas into their independent writing.

Not only that, I have been incredibly impressed with their acting and have been very entertained throughout the year five production of Macbeth.
