This week, in maths the children have been learning how to split the number 6 into different parts. The children explored sharing 6 aliens between 2 flying saucers and used their fingers to represent the number of aliens in each flying saucer. Some children then chose to write a number sentence to match how they had split the aliens in the flying saucers. This is a new skill for Reception so I was really impressed to see how keen the children were to do this.
