We have started learning about the First World War and have used a range of primary and secondary sources to gather information about the causes and impact of the Great War.
In one of our lessons this week, we acted out the end of war settlement at the treaty of Versailles. We each represented one of the countries involved in the war and decided as a group what the conditions of settlement should be. Some of us decided that Germany needed to be punished severely; others took a more lenient approach.
We are also using a range of online sources to understand what life was like for soldiers in the trenches. On Friday 26th September we will be visiting the Imperial War Museum to see a range of primary sources and gain further insight into life for the soldiers.
