Wise words

In Year 5 we have been learning about the importance of wisdom and how the Bible is a source of wisdom for Christians. Within the Bible are many quotes that can show us how to be wise. We have looked at these in the class and considered their meaning and how they can teach us to make wise decisions.

In our lesson, each group was given a quote from the book Proverbs. They had to mime out their proverb for the class for work out. Here were the quotes they acted out; see if you can work out which any of the pictures could be!

‘Wise friends make you wise, but you hurt yourself by going around with fools.’ (Prov 13:20);

‘If you forgive someone when they do wrong, you make a friend.’ (Prov 17:9).

‘Choose your words carefully – thoughtless words can destroy lives’ (Proverbs 13:3);

‘Good people are kind to their animals, but a mean person is cruel.’ (Prov 12:10);

‘Losing your temper is foolish – ignoring an insult is smart.’ (Prov 12:16)
