Who was Mary Anning?

In maths, we have been focusing on building our fraction knowledge.  We looked at counting in tenths and how 10 tenths is equal to 1 whole. We also converted tenths to decimals.

In English, we have been learning how to build interesting vocabulary into our character descriptions about the Iron Man, and how a character description can really help to elevate a story and keep the reader interested.

In Science, we investigated who Mary Anning was and how her breakthrough discoveries on dinosaur fossils really propelled forward the scientific study of Paleontology. This was built into our art lessons, where we sculptured our own fossils out of clay.
