In Nursery this week we have been reading ” The Gruffalo” . The children loved this story and most of them have heard about it before. They were very good at describing the characters during carpet session and remembering the repeated rhymes when we acted it out. Today we made a Gruffalo crumble in our cooking session. We broke biscuits which we mixed with melted chocolate.We used dried apricots for Gruffalo’s eyes, raisins for the tongue and smarties for the wart and prickles on his back.The children enjoyed eating it after lunch accompanied with some nice healthy milk.
