In R.E this half term Y2 has been focussing on The Easter Story. Last week the children looked at Palm Sunday and learned about Christ’s triumphant return to Jerusalem. To recap what we had learned, we did a class roleplay of Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem.
The children were arranged in two lines with ‘palm leaves’ which they put down as Jesus entered the city. There were also some people in the crowd who weren’t as happy to see Jesus and were exclaiming so.
The children enjoyed the activity and hopefully, it will ensure that this part of the story becomes embedded in their memory.
