On Thursday and Friday Year 2 conducted a science experiment involving Rocket Mice!
The children had to first design their rocket mouse and then follow instructions to make and decorate it. Next, we practiced blasting our rockets into the air using a variety of different sized and shaped bottles. Children tested which bottles were more effective as well as which mice went the highest.
At the end of the investigation, children concluded that it was better to use the larger mouse template, with fewer decorations and a larger bottle, with a larger air capacity.
The children really loved this activity and I’ve told them they can take some templates and some bottles next week to do it at home. Sorry parents!
