This week the Year 2 children learnt about the life and travels of Queen Elizabeth II.
As part of this learning, we looked at different portrait photos of Queen Elizabeth, taken at different times in her life. The children examined and discussed how technology, clothing and even photos themselves have changed over the course of Queen Elizabeth’s life.
Afterwards, the children were challenged to paint a portrait of Queen Elizabeth. Unlike last year’s Jubilee celebration, the children weren’t given as much support and most of the artworks were done completely independently.
