Year 2 went on a BRILLIANT school trip last week.

The children caught the tube to Monument station where they met Sarah for our Wren, Rebuilding and The Great Fire of London inspirational learning day. The children completed hands-on activities, listened to stories, visited two 17th century churches and even walked to Pudding Lane! It was so lovely for the children to explore London with their own eyes.

As part of the day we also learned extensively about Christopher Wren. His great re-building of London out of the smouldering ruins, and considered what his impact is on their locality and cityscape today. Since coming back to school the children have barely stopped talking about how great the trip was, how much they learned and how much they want to go back and do it all over again!

Some pictures below which don’t do the day justice!
