This week in Nursery we read the story “Peace at last “.The story is about Mr. Bear trying to find a quiet place to sleep so we used lots of construction resources to build him a shed. We also celebrated Ralph’s birthday (class teddy bear) who turned 4 which linked with number 4 as it was the number of the week. The children made him birthday cards and birthday cakes using play dough. We also had a birthday picnic so we made jam and cheese sandwiches which we enjoyed very much. In Phonics we are learning about instrumental sounds so we used junk modelling to make our own instruments, which we used in our lesson to explore quiet and loud sounds. We enjoyed acting out the story using our artwork as prompts.
