Maya Engineering at it’s best!

What do you get when you combine a group of highly intelligent pupils with an engaging lesson about Mayan engineering? You will find yourself in an environment loaded with ingenuity and foresight. I was most pleased with the students’ ability to design and build a structure that used a rectangular foundation, reinforced with brick and cement (bricks and cement were created with modelling clay). Year six had a lot of fun learning today and they are looking forward to improving their model-building skills throughout the spring term.
