As a part of our learning about perimeter this week, we completed a very challenging perimeter investigation. The children had to work in partners, listen to one another, think of a strategy and complete the problem. I was very impressed with the range of skills the children displayed throughout this investigation, they discussed and reasoned their strategy, measured the squares and then reasoned using mathematical language to make the rectangle out of the nine squares. Even though this activity was very challenging all children persevered to complete it and even finding out the correct dimensions. Well done!
