Keeping Myself Safe Week

We were delighted to welcome PC Tracy into our classroom last week as part of Keeping Myself Safe Week. Many of the children have shown a particular interest in the police recently so they were especially excited when PC Tracy turned up! PC Tracy taught the children about how important it is to stay near an adult they know when they are out and about, what to do if they get lost and how to call the police in an emergency. PC Tracy brought in lots of different police hats for the children to try on, her walkie talkie and she showed them her badge. She also showed the children her handcuffs, which they put on Amy!

When we were discussing what a stranger is Ejaz said, “you can’t tell them your name.”

“If I need the police I will call 999.” Charlie.

“You must hold Mummy’s hand.” Kimberley.
