Inferring information from an illustration.

Year 4 have started the year off excellently with such motivation, enthusiasm and inquisitive minds. We have been reading ‘Jemmy Button’, we have been inferring the different illustrations before actually reading the text. I have been blown away by the children’s advanced insights and detailed opinions and predictions from every single child in Year 4. We have even been roleplaying some of the characters to understand their motives, thoughts and feelings within the story. Here is an example of their excellent freeze-frames really capturing the essence of the ‘visitors’ in this part of the story.
