How can we represent the number 43?

Over the past couple of weeks, Year 2 has been learning about Number and Place Value, specifically representing, recognising, partitioning, comparing, and ordering numbers up to 100. As part of our learning, we’ve investigated different methods and equipment that can be used to represent the same amount. Today the children were challenged to represent the number 43 in as many different ways as possible. I was impressed by the creative and speed that was on display.
