This half term the Y2 children have been exploring and learning the Lord’s Prayer. This week we focussed on the following lines – ‘Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us’.
We discussed and linked these with one of our school’s Christian Values – forgiveness. The children explored The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant and created role-plays demonstrating forgiveness.
We also talked about Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, to absolve us of sin.
To finish off the children decorated different Christian crosses which will be displayed in our worship area and which symbolise forgiveness.
