On Thursday this week, Year 5 were treated to a cricketing workshop from a coach from Middlesex County Cricket Club. The children learned some basics of the game including batting and fielding.
In a highly competitive game, the children racked up runs against the fielding side by hitting the ball and running between the stumps. As you expect of a Spring day in England, there were some showers but rain didn’t stop play. The children loved learning the game and it turns out, there are few members of the class who have a real eye for the ball and were smashing it out the park!
