This week in maths we learned about the column method. For a few days, we practiced column addition, then the rest of the days we done column subtraction.

In R.E we learned about Ruth and Naomi. We read the bible story about their show of love and loyalty. We answered some questions about Ruth’s calling and how she showed faith to God in difficult times.

On Thursday we went to St Marys New Church to celebrate Harvest festival. Here we sang songs and said some prayers.

We also had our Victorian Day this week, where we completed tasks that children would have done in the Victorian classroom, such as rote memorisation, bible recitations, arithmetic and handwriting. At playtime we played ring around the roses and threw hoops at the cricket stumps.
