Turn the light on!

Today Mrs McMillan Hind gave us the challenge of creating a switch to break the flow of electric current around our circuits.  To make the switch we were given a piece of card and two paper clips, we were also given a third wire.  This was not an easy challenge.  We had to use our prior knowledge of materials that conduct electricity to solve this problem.  We knew the cardboard would somehow play a role in breaking the circuit and the paperclips would ‘switch’ the light back on.  But how?  If you see us around school ask us to find out.
