We were so lucky this week to have Afriyie’s mummy come into our class to share what she does in her job as a pharmacist. She explained to us that she helps people get the right medicine they need to feel better and teaches people how to use or take medicine correctly. She showed us what a weekly medicine box looks like with all the days of the week and different times of the day people might need to take their medicine. She talked to us about medicine safety and how important it is not to touch medicine or tablets and if we find some to always tell an adult. We even got to use some equipment that Afriyie’s mum uses to give medicine to people and to check their pulse and blood pressure.
